While on Yoga Journal researching the Tibetan healing practices offered at the stunning Alpina Gstaad wellness hotel (will review in a future post) in Switzerland, I came upon a recipe for a Golden Latte that was too good not to share. I can admit that I’ve been a bit blind to other latte options with my mild matcha devotion. It happens. I’ve broadened my horizons though! Spicy, rich (but not cloying), and delicious. Filled with the anti-inflammatory powerhouse turmeric and a host of other delicious spices, this treat packs a whole lot of healthy goodness!

Golden Latte

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp ginger powder

1 tsp cinnamon powder

pinch of black pepper

1 cup hot coconut milk

1 tsp maple syrup

top with sprinkled cinnamon

*Start with the first four ingredients and mix them with a splash of boiling water. Simply add the rest of the ingredients to your cup. Enjoy!
